Early to bed, early to rise? I was asleep by 8:30 and woke up at 4:30. That is 8 hours of sleep so I guess I’m okay. Keeping in mind that milk does have tryptophan in it and I am drinking milk that gets warmer during the day (I leave the gallon jug out all day on my counter). I’m not surprised that I’m so sleepy so early each night. Did you know that pasteurized milk destroys the tryptophan? So if you are trying to go to sleep by drinking warm milk from the grocery store, it won’t happen.
My day was pretty usual, drink milk and work. I also started some preparations for coming off the milk cure in 3 days. I started a batch of kefir and a chicken bone broth in the slow cooker. I might not be able to handle the kefir on my first day coming off the cure, but I am sure that I’ll be back to my regular kefir shakes after that first day. Bone broth is pretty much a staple in my house and I love it not only as an adjunct to recipes and soups, but also as a hot drink.
Not only did I feel fine, but wait for it. I actually did a workout today. True I’m back at Week 1 Cycle 1 for Body By You, but I did something and I didn’t start at the easier exercises. I’m still at the same level of exercises I was doing before, It’s just that I’m at the easier 2 sets of 12 in 2/3 minutes. Coming out, I felt hot and tired, so not bad for 30 minutes.
Detoxing symptoms started tonight. Runs to the restroom meant I stayed upstairs and close to one. Thank goodness for the iPad, streaming video and blue tooth speakers.
And once again it was an early night. To bed and asleep by 8:30. I’d love to stay up later, but my eyes won’t stay open.

Another slight weight gain today. Totally normal for me.
Glucose is so normal and low, it’s almost boring. But yay for boring. I’m probably going to track this another week after I finish the milk cure to see where it goes.
My tongue is getting slightly whiter each day.

Nothing wrong with boring, I find it very “Zen”.
I love the even feelings that I experience drinking milk all day.
I am also going to bed much earlier than I used to but waking about the same time, so I’m getting lots of sleep. I do wake up rested, which is a big change for me. Yeah for all the healthy things in raw milk!!
It is a sad commentary when you think about it. The majority of people know that to eat healthy means to stay away from “processed foods”, but the majority do not know that includes pasteurized and homogenized milk. We tend to think processed foods only means artificial colors and flavors along with a plethora of preservatives with names so long that they give them abbreviations like BHT.
I agree with you on the whole “processed foods thing”. Between pasteurization, GMOs and non-inclusion of GRAS (generally recognized as safe) items on food labels, the only way to be sure you are eating whole food is to buy from a farmer you trust or buy completely organic whole foods from the grocery store (organics may not include GMO’s by default).
I replied to your post….not here in the comments so not sure you will get that. I am still doing the milk fast and feeling wonderful. I just drink as much as I want when I want. I don’t detox on it….so for that I am grateful. I have no plans to stop the fast. I started March the 4th. I feel sooooo content and so very even. That’s the only way I can describe my feelings to my family and friends is “even”…..no ups and downs. Loving that. Mood tends to stay ‘even’ too. No valleys. To put it plainly I feel wonderful!
Best wishes to you as you continue on!
I’m glad you are having such an even time on the milk cure. For me, its been a series of healings (which I describe as detox). I never expected it to be easy and while the whole not chewing thing hasn’t bothered me at all, I’m grateful for the healing I’ve gotten this time. I never expected milk with all its sugars to do such a complete evening out of my blood sugar the way it has. That was very surprising.
