4 gallons of raw milk

Week 3 and the 18th day of my raw milk cure journey

I slept well last night, I woke up once around 3 am, but went right back to sleep until my alarm at 5:30. I’m feeling pretty good today, but do think I could have used a bit more sleep.

Good days for me are boring days for my blog.

Today was a productive day.  I got a lot of work done and even finished my pharmacology class.  I’m grateful for the days that I have the wherewithal to just get things done. It was 60 and cloudy after work, and unfortunately too cool to sit on my deck. In the evening, I started to get a headache, but no other effects are showing up. Other than the headache, I felt fine all evening. I did take a detox bath and  go to bed early.

Vital Statistics

My weight has gone up slightly, but that’s pretty normal for me after a weight loss. It hasn’t gone up to the weights that I saw over the last week, so I think it’s safe to say that the weight loss I saw yesterday will stick.

Glucose is still really good today.  This cure is definitely about the glucose, something I really wasn’t expecting at all. I’ve had 4 consistent days of my glucose being below 100 and 8 days of glucose levels that only had one 100+ (barely) reading.  I think of everything about the milk cure that I’ve experienced and read, this is the one that blows me away the most.

My tongue is bouncing back and forth between mostly pink with a little bit of white and mostly pink with more white.  Today, it’s mostly pink with more white.

Were to begin………the beginning?, the middle?, the end?

The beginning, I started this milk cure on a whim, but customized it to fit my life style. I’d like to try doing it more strictly charting my vital statistics sometime in the future but I feel like I’m getting good results with the way I’m doing it. Good weight loss and good energy levels.

The middle, I’m enjoying the milk, never hungry, eating yogurt and frozen berries once a day. A few days I’ve had one very small meal. The biggest change for me is in my head, I now think of everything I put in my mouth in terms of, “Is this going to improve my health or hurt my health?” The big challenge is in deciphering the flood of information that is out there about what is healthy. Some main stream medical information says you shouldn’t even drink milk after you reach adulthood and most people like to say that raw milk is NOT safe. We won’t even get into the fact that the saturated fats in milk are plain dangerous for our hearts, yeah right! AND all that sugar in milk CAN’T be good for your glucose numbers, hehehe. Intuitively listening to my body, I feel better than I have in ages, therefore this diet is good for me. All I can really say.

The end, well I don’t know where that will be? I don’t think I’m going to go back to my old habits after my three weeks is up. Most likely I’ll enjoy two quarts of milk a day and one small meal made at home from farm fresh ingredients.

Oh even though I’m in the middle of that wonderful female cycle of life, I’ve gone down a pound………..yeah!! This wonderful cycle had me go up two and a half pounds end of last week, now to get rid of the rest of that increase, maybe in a few days.

Congratulations on your weight loss. Yeah, I have to admit the whole blood glucose consistently under 100 surprised me. Last year, my glucose levels were all over the place, but I guess my body was healing different things (digestive system). This time, my body gets to work on my insulin levels. It’s a nice break, and I’m wondering how long it will last.
